Responsibilities

Hold a Stanford Bioengineering appointment with all rights and privileges afforded Bioengineering faculty
As an Arc Core Investigator, have office and research space with the Arc Institute, and receive all rights and privileges afforded by the Arc Institute, including annual funding
Train the next generation of biomedical revolutionaries in their area
Teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels
Build and lead a team of graduate students in Ph.D. research

Required

Earned Ph.D., D.Sc., and/or M.D
Demonstrated ability to pursue an independent research program
Strong commitment to both graduate and undergraduate teaching
Ability to initiate and conduct research across disciplines
Expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels
Ability to build and lead a team of graduate students in Ph.D. research
Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to contribute actively to a rapidly growing Stanford Department
