Paralegal
The New York Foundling is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need since 1869. They are seeking a Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to ensure compliance with laws and regulations while advancing their human services mission.

Responsibilities
Manage and support projects and tasks related to legal representation of the agency including with respect to litigation, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment matters, and other areas
Conduct legal and factual research, analyze issues, and summarize findings to support decision-making and program development
Support case management by preparing and reviewing legal documents, organizing case files, and tracking outcomes
Maintain accurate and confidential records, files, and databases in compliance with agency and legal standards
Assist in evaluating program effectiveness through data collection and reporting on key metrics
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and metrics dashboards to measure program impact
Collaborate with internal teams to advance agency goals and improve service delivery
Assist in developing policies, procedures, and best practices for legal and program operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field
2+ years of paralegal or legal support experience related to litigation, contracts, and/or regulatory compliance
Strong research, drafting, and documentation skills
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with case management systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools
Mission-driven mindset with focus on client outcomes and program goals
Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
Preferred
Prior government, nonprofit, or public interest law experience is a plus
Knowledge of social service regulations and nonprofit operations is a plus
