Responsibilities

Manage large-scale SQL Server databases across on-prem and cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Design and optimize OLTP and data warehouse architectures for scalability and performance

Lead query tuning, indexing strategies, and table partitioning. Configure and maintain SQL Server replication, Always On Availability Groups, and failover clustering to ensure high availability and disaster recovery

Perform installations, patching, upgrades, and migrations for SQL Server 2017 and newer versions. Automate DBA tasks and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy

Monitor system health and performance using tools such as SQL Sentry and Idera. Ensure database security, compliance, and sustainability while proactively resolving bottlenecks

Partner with technology leadership to align database strategy with business goals. Collaborate with developers for query tuning and schema refinement. Mentor junior DBAs and data engineers to promote best practices

Hands-on experience with SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, and emerging platforms like Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB
