Responsibilities

Observing and assisting with installation support activities for computer networks and associated hardware

Supporting senior technicians during field operations and maintenance activities

Learning how to develop, review, and update maintenance procedures in accordance with DoW and U.S. Navy requirements

Assisting in the execution of maintenance documentation programs under the direction of experienced technical leads

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support mission objectives

Gaining exposure to troubleshooting techniques and operational problem resolution

Participating in process improvement efforts related to technical documentation and field support activities

Supporting special projects and learning how technical teams drive operational outcomes in complex environments

Required

8 + years of related experience

U.S. Citizenship required

Active Secret clearance required

Associates of Arts/Associates of Science or equivalent experience

Ability to write maintenance procedure writing in accordance with DoW and Navy requirements

Basic familiarity with computer networks and hardware installation

Willingness to learn training techniques that support operational personnel

On-site participation required

Has served at least 180 days on active duty

Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement

Will receive an honorable discharge

Has taken any service TAP/TGPS

Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months

Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoW SkillBridge Program prior to start of the fellowship

Preferred

Exposure to operational systems, troubleshooting, or technical writing preferred
