Data Analyst

Responsibilities
Data intake & quality control: Receive, gather, analyze, and organize information from multiple sources; evaluate quality/completeness and resolve inconsistencies
Data capture & stewardship: Record and maintain data across databases, SharePoint, documents, and spreadsheets; ensure proper version control and maintain backups of reports and datasets
Tracking & productivity: Develop and administer tracking mechanisms, dashboards, and worksheets to monitor productivity, ensure mandates are followed, meet contractual deadlines, respond to data calls, and support multifaceted taskings
Reporting & visualization: Generate, monitor, and manage reports, summaries, charts, and visualizations to measure and chart data (e.g., procurement requests/requisitions, contracts) and support decision-making
Work product standardization: Create, manage, and monitor new worksheets and user tools; standardize formats, data dictionaries, and metadata for consistency
Organizational tools: Manage organization charts, team calendars, and similar tools; provide guidance on their use
Records & FOIA coordination: Coordinate file management with the FOIA team to support retention, tagging, discoverability, and compliant responses
Contracts tracking: Research, identify, track, and upload active contracts and solicitations; maintain accurate records
Access & communications: Create and manage Outlook distribution lists; grant and remove access to Teams channels and files in accordance with OPSEC and change-control practices
Stakeholder engagement: Consistently review data, communicate status, and provide reminders to staff and leadership to ensure updates and related activities are completed; provide timely task updates
Document preparation: Select relevant information from a variety of sources to prepare documents, reports, summaries, and replies to inquiries, ensuring accuracy and proper format
User material (non-training): Develop user materials, job aids, and procedural documentation to assist the Government in understanding and using tracking tools and managed data; provide demonstrations of system functionality upon request. •Note: This role does not provide training, operational direction, or authoritative guidance to Government personnel
Collaboration: Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), as appropriate
Multi-tasking: Simultaneously manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university (4-year program), or six (6) years of documented experience in federal procurement or private sector data analysis
Must provide transcripts verifying degree completion (if applicable)
At least 4 years of documented experience in Data Management or Data Analyst roles
Proven experience supporting data analysis for a Federal Government agency or entity (general data entry does not qualify)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint; experience with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and permissions management
Ability to maintain operational security (OPSEC) and report concerns
Experience crafting and running Excel scripts/macros or using advanced Excel functions (e.g., Power Query) to validate data accuracy and automate workflows
Ability to manage and analyze various data formats and perform data quality checks to resolve inconsistencies
Strong analytical skills to draw well-supported conclusions from complex data sets; adept at report/dashboard creation and data visualization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and provide timely updates to leadership
Preferred
Experience managing procurement-sensitive, law enforcement-sensitive, or other secure information
