Project Scheduler
Leidos is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support large-scale information technology projects for an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in New Jersey. This role is responsible for the creation, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of person-hour and cost-loaded schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, scope, and risk control standards.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6
Perform detailed schedule analysis, including critical path management
Manage scheduling and dependency relationships across assigned SAP modernization workstreams
Incorporate cost- and resource-loaded data into schedules per governance standards
Establish, maintain, and report baseline and current schedule status
Provide earned value management (EVM) and estimate-to-complete (ETC) support
Conduct schedule audits and quality reviews to validate accuracy and integrity
Identify schedule risks, performance issues, and recovery options for slipped schedules
Provide forward-looking schedule analysis and reporting to leadership
Collaborate with Project Managers, Financial Analysts, vendors, and stakeholders to align schedules with financial forecasts
Maintain scheduling databases, templates, and historical project records
Advise management on effective use of scheduling software coding, templates, and reports
Attend project meetings, capture and communicate action items and schedule impacts
Ensure compliance with client Project Scheduler Standards and governance procedures
Qualification
Required
7+ years of scheduling experience using Primavera P6
Strong understanding of Project Management and Project Management Office (PMO) principles
Capital project management experience with a project controls (scheduling) focus
Experience with cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules
Experience with critical path analysis
Experience with schedule performance analytics
Experience with earned value support
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with executives
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
High level of computer literacy and mastery of generic data tools and concepts
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection guidelines
Proven capability in complex problem solving across multiple projects
Preferred
Primavera P6 certification
PMI-SP and/or PMP certification
Previous SAP project experience
