Responsibilities
Support and execute an accurate, timely month-end and quarter-end close (targeting a 3–5 day close)
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Ensure balance sheet integrity and proper GAAP treatment across all entities
Assist with technical accounting matters including inventory valuation, standard costing, fixed assets, leases (ASC 842), and revenue recognition
Support preparation of technical accounting memos and documentation
Assist with consolidated financial statements and intercompany eliminations
Help prepare board- and leadership-level reporting packages
Partner with operations to ensure inventory accuracy, costing integrity, and variance analysis
Support standard cost maintenance, overhead allocation, and periodic re-costing
Assist with inventory counts, write-offs, and reconciliations in a regulated environment
Help maintain a strong internal control environment aligned with GAAP and audit standards
Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Assist with audit preparation, PBC schedules, and year-round audit readiness
Support compliance related to manufacturing and reporting requirements
Partner with Finance and IT to strengthen ERP and accounting systems
Help streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve data quality
Assist with ERP implementations or expansions as the company enters new markets
Act as a thought partner to the Controller and CFO
Provide guidance and support to accounting team members as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Compliance, and FP&A
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Working knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting
Exposure to consolidations, audits, and technical accounting issues
ERP experience (Business Central, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and proactive approach
Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced, growing environment
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments strongly preferred
