Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingesting, processing, transforming, and storing data from diverse sources
Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration
Build and manage data models, schemas, and databases to support operational, analytical, and BI use cases, including data warehouses and lakes
Implement data quality checks, validation, and governance practices to maintain accuracy, consistency, and security
Collaborate with analytics and BI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, including dashboards, reports, and visualizations
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability
Automate data workflows, scripting, and processes to streamline operations and reduce manual efforts
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, pipelines, and processes
Stay current with emerging technologies in data engineering and BI to drive continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
3+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or a similar role
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with strong SQL expertise for querying and data manipulation
Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL/NoSQL databases, data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or Redshift)
Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView)
Strong understanding of data modeling, architecture, and best practices for data governance and security
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred
Experience with real-time data streaming and processing
Background in machine learning pipelines or integrating data for AI/ML applications
Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics) or BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst)
Proven track record in BI development, including creating interactive dashboards and reports that drive business decisions
