Responsibilities
Manage data entry and maintain accurate admission tracking logs
Coordinate hospital discharges and general admission processes
Overcome initial objections to hospice and palliative care services
Verify insurance and manage authorization processes
Schedule staff to meet with patients and families in a timely manner
Ensure intake documentation is completed per policy
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff
Communicate empathetically with patients, families, and associates
Remain calm and level-headed in emergencies and emotionally intense situations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required; college coursework in business administration preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales
Prior hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred
Typing speed of 50 WPM and proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer tasks
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
May be required to work outside regular hours based on patient needs

College coursework in business administration
Prior hospice or palliative care experience
