Business Development Manager
Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) is a rapidly growing management consulting firm seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth through opportunity identification and BD operations. The role involves managing the business development lifecycle, improving BD processes, and supporting capture planning activities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
Manage and support MSG’s business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification to proposal readiness
Develop a deep understanding of MSG’s service lines, markets, client priorities, and differentiators
Help shape BD strategy by identifying trends, assessing market movements, and informing leadership of emerging opportunities
Lead the management and continuous improvement of MSG’s BD pipeline to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Oversee research and tracking of federal opportunities using systems such as Deltek GovWin, SAM.gov, Grants.gov, FPDS, agency forecasts, and internal tools
Ensure timely communication to BD and program teams regarding solicitation releases, amendments, Q&As, extensions, and cancellations
Strengthen MSG’s knowledge management processes, including file organization, SME databases, capture documentation, and historical proposal intelligence
Support capture planning activities by gathering background information, reviewing competition landscapes, and identifying teaming opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance BD tools, templates, and processes (e.g., Smartsheet dashboards, Excel trackers)
Prepare, deliver, and present BD activity reports and insights to leadership
Coordinate and facilitate meetings, including developing agendas, producing materials, capturing meeting minutes, and ensuring action items are completed
Demonstrate strong professional communication skills across a range of audiences and contexts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
Five plus years of progressive experience in business development, ideally within federal contracting or management consulting
Experience conducting research, synthesizing information, and supporting capture and proposal efforts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
