Manager of Communications & Marketing (Onsite)
Knights of Columbus is a tax-exempt Catholic fraternal benefit society that provides financial security to its members. The Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing core communications and marketing efforts for the Saint John Paul II National Shrine, including managing staff, creating communication plans, and implementing marketing strategies.

Responsibilities
Manages the Specialist – Marketing and Communications, which includes recruitment, onboarding, training, and appraisal
Creates and implements communication plans for Shrine and retreat house events and functions, including flyers, press releases, media campaigns, etc
Provides quality materials for general promotion of the Shrine and Retreat House
Designs and implements marketing and outreach plans to both known targets and the general population, with a special focus on retreat groups; collaborates with Outreach & Visitor Services Staff in this function
Participate in executive team meetings as needed, and collaborate closely with other departments, particularly Mission and Ministry
Addresses any communication crises
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of the life and legacy of Saint John Paul II
Some leadership/management experience
Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
BA or BS degree
Three to five years of experience in a communications and marketing role or equivalent combination of training/experience
Authorization to work in the United States is required
Preferred
Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
Knowledge and understanding of Catholic Church protocol and Knights of Columbus protocol
