Responsibilities
Provide and train material handlers on proper packaging and documentation procedures for finished goods shipments to international customers
Work with customer service, distribution centers, and freight forwarders on consolidation orders to ensure customer requirements are met
Serve as a distribution center expert in International shipping regulations, assess the impact on products, and take action to ensure shipping compliance with these regulations
Maintain proper shipping documentation on international shipments for the required length of time
Create and authorize standard international shipping and receiving work instructions
Responsible for liaisons with freight forwarders and trafficking to establish total customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years' experience in international shipping
Demonstrated knowledge of Free Trade Agreements
Preferred
Knowledge of computerized warehouse systems and UN/DOT shipping regulations for domestic and international shipping
Knowledge of IATA regulations on domestic and international hazardous shipping procedures
