Responsibilities
Handle bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters from the ground up
Work on commercial bankruptcies, workouts, and related litigation
Support senior attorneys while independently managing assigned matters
Draft pleadings, motions, and court filings
Gain exposure to broader commercial litigation matters over time
Build strong foundational skills in a high-demand practice area
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1 year of law firm experience in bankruptcy and/or creditors' rights
Active Illinois bar license
Strong interest in bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and commercial litigation
Willingness to work hands-on 'in the trenches' on active matters
Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to professional development
Preferred
2–3 years of bankruptcy or creditors' rights experience
Exposure to mechanic's liens, collections, or general commercial litigation
Interest in developing a long-term practice and client relationships
