They are seeking a Senior Developer with expertise in Golang and experience in cross-border payment systems to design and develop applications that support payment workflows and ensure compliance with international standards.

Responsibilities
Design and develop robust Golang based applications to support cross-border payment workflows, including API-based integrations, webhooks, and messaging systems
Build and enhance Checker’s middleware infrastructure for seamless interaction between legacy financial systems and modern digital payment solutions
Develop solutions for multi-currency transactions, FX conversion, and compliance with international payment standards (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, Fedwire)
Collaborate with product and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements and global payment standards
Design and maintain APIs to normalize and standardize data formats for smooth interaction with liquidity providers, payments service providers, stablecoin issuers, blockchains, and banks
Work on automating settlement flows, reconciliation processes, and data reporting to streamline operational efficiency in cross-border payments
Ensure high system reliability, security, and scalability to handle large volumes of international transactions
Collaborate on architectural decisions to enhance Checker’s cross-border payments platform while maintaining compliance and operational flexibility
Mentor team members, contribute to code reviews, and champion best practices in payment system development
Qualification
Required
5-8 years of professional experience in Enterprise application development with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Proven experience working on cross-border payment systems, including familiarity with APIs, messaging protocols (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA), banking as a service (BaaS), and any other payments infrastructure
Strong understanding of databases (relational and NoSQL) and cloud-native application development
Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies (e.g., NATS JetStream, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver in Agile environments
Preferred
2-3 years of professional experience with Golang and Go standard libraries
Experience working with trading, treasury, finance, or operations teams at regulated financial institutions
Knowledge of blockchain technologies, token standards (e.g., ERC-20, SPL-tokens), and smart contracts
Familiarity with compliance and risk management workflows in digital assets
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and DevOps tools for CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ARGOCD, etc)
Proficiency in languages other than English, preferably Spanish, French, or Mandarin Chinese
