This role involves partnering with the VP Corporate Controller to manage financial reporting and complex consolidations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP while mentoring a team of accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring all intercompany transactions are identified and eliminated

Own the end-to-end preparation of formal financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP

Prepare complex cash flow statements and provide detailed supporting documentation for all reporting cycles

Populate and refine Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) to provide narrative context to financial performance

Verify the accuracy of trial balances from multiple ERP systems prior to upload into the consolidation and reporting platform (Oracle EPM)

Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and career growth

Oversee intercompany reconciliations and cash sweeping activities to ensure liquidity and balance sheet accuracy

Serve as a primary liaison for external auditors and manage relationships with third-party technical advisory partners

Monitor and account for derivative instruments in collaboration with external advisors

Develop and implement standardized reporting templates within the financial consolidation system to enhance scalability

Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with evolving GAAP standards

Coordinate with site-level controllers across multiple states to ensure consistency in accounting treatments

Manage the financial reporting calendar to ensure all internal stakeholder deadlines are met

Drive continuous process improvements in the close-to-report cycle to reduce days to close while maintaining high data integrity

Analyze and report on key financial metrics to support enterprise-level strategic decision-making

Qualification

Public Accounting experienceConsolidation of multiple entitiesCPA licenseOracle EPMProject management skillsCollaborative team player

Required

Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Public Accounting experience is required

Experience with the consolidation of multiple entities is required

Strong organizational and project management skills

Collaborative team player with positive attitude

Preferred

CPA license is highly desired

Experience with Oracle EPM is highly desired
