Responsibilities
Prepare, submit, and confirm electronic court filings across state, federal, and appellate courts
Review filings for compliance with applicable court rules and procedural requirements
Monitor dockets and retrieve filed documents and notices
Track and record deadlines, hearings, and key case milestones in centralized docketing systems
Communicate filing status, updates, and procedural guidance to attorneys and litigation staff
Process and route incoming court documents appropriately
Conduct case and docket searches using internal systems and online court resources
Support additional administrative or litigation support projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Solid understanding of litigation filing procedures and docketing fundamentals
Familiarity with California state and federal court rules and electronic filing platforms
Strong attention to detail and deadline awareness
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple filings and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a distributed team
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Prior exposure to litigation docketing through work experience, internships, or coursework
Hands-on experience with docketing or calendaring software (training available where needed)
Working knowledge of federal and state e-filing systems (e.g., PACER, NexGen)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
