Level 3 Inspector
Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. They are seeking a Level 3 Inspector to work on product development activities, manage projects, and assist in the development of training programs regarding complex measuring equipment.

Assist in Development of training programs regarding complex measuring equipment
Create and modify programs for stationary and portable coordinates measuring equipment & related software
Writing maintaining and troubleshooting gage programs
Participating in projects
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas (5s)
Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown’s safety rules and regulations for each task performed. To prevent the risk of injury, report unsafe conditions and do not perform unsafe acts

Qualification
Required

Comply with all applicable occupational Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Crown's safety rules and regulations for each task performed
Per 8 hours shift (any combination of standing, sitting and walking) occasionally bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance and push or pull objects, frequent lifting and carrying (frequently 0-10 lbs and occasionally 11-50lbs)
Must be able to hear, have good vision, distinguish colors, simple and fine grasping with both hands
Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to coolants, lubricants, dust, adhesives, solvents, oils and weld flash
Inspection equipment and ability to read and understand blueprints; advanced math skills
Communicate (verbal and written) effectively with other people, learn and understand work instructions
Retain knowledge; advance understanding of computer work stations
Completed Level 3 Inspection requirements within Crown's predetermined quality matrix
5 years of experience required and/or 2 years associates' degree in Metrology or relative experience
CMM programming, trouble shooting and operation and weld evaluations
Preferred
CWI (Certified Weld Inspector) – 120-hrs total classroom training / 3 exams (Hobart Technical Institute / AWS HQ)
Ultrasonic Testing – 96-hrs total classroom training plus 30-consulting-hrs (American Testing Services)
Welding Expert (currently called StructureExpert Weld) – 8-hrs in-house training (Crown)
WiKi-SCAN Portable Laser Weld Inspection – 12-hrs in-house training (Crown)
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) / Dye Penetrant Inspections – 40-hrs classroom training (Hobart Technical Institute) / 4-hrs in-house MT (Crown)
Microhardness Inspection – 24-hrs classroom training (Leco Corporation)
Spectrometer (Spectrotest) – 12-hrs in-house training (Crown)
Nikon Vision Measuring System – 48-hrs [(2) 24-hr sessions] classroom training (Nikon Incorporated)
