Infrastructure Analyst
Coweta County Government is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure and related services. The role involves diagnosing issues, assisting with cybersecurity management, and recommending technology solutions for the County's needs.

Responsibilities
Designs, implements, and maintains physical and virtual server infrastructure, storage area networks (SAN), backup services, disaster recovery services, and unified communications
Diagnoses, tracks, resolves, and documents issues related to servers, storage arrays, backup and recover software, and unified communications
Assists the Cybersecurity Specialist and Network Analyst with network security management, configuration, and remediation
Advises, trains, and assists users with technology; trains, and cross trains employees on system operations
Performs research and analyzes existing and new technologies; makes recommendations to management regarding solutions for current and future technology needs of the County
Regularly monitors server and storage infrastructure health with SNMP monitoring tools and virtualization software
Update and patch server and storage infrastructure hardware and software
Work with Security Operations Center to remediate hardware and software vulnerabilities
Assists in conducting corrective and preventive maintenance on all server and storage infrastructure
Develops and maintains files and records related to server and storage infrastructure for the department
Encourages and promotes a culture of excellent service
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field and considerable experience in server administration, application/systems administration, helpdesk or desktop technical support, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Possession of Vmware VCP required to obtain within 1 year of hire
Favorable background history as determined by review of local, State and Federal records
Valid driver's license in the State of Georgia with a favorable driving history (MVR)
Thorough knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computer hardware and software
Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of the operation and logic of computer equipment and related principles, practices and techniques
Ability to understand and apply basic hardware/software documentation
Thorough knowledge of Standard Office Software
Thorough knowledge of Standard Accounting Software, virtualization hardware/software, network monitoring software, and backup and replication software
Thorough knowledge of programming languages and available software packages
Thorough knowledge of principles of computer systems, procedures analysis and design
Thorough knowledge of related industry, organization and departmental legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances and laws
Ability to develop computer reports that present accurate and relevant information in a usable format
Ability to effectively manage projects, including maintenance of schedules and timetables, and preparation of reports on project status
Ability to train or instruct on line users in the use of computer equipment and operating procedures
Ability to communicate ideas effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages
Ability to understand and apply governmental accounting practices in maintenance of financial records
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, users and associates
Preferred
Possession of CompTIA Security+ preferred
