Director of Operations
Display Sales is a Minnesota-based company helping communities shine since 1966. They are seeking a Director of Operations to lead day-to-day operational execution and partner with leadership to drive growth and efficiency in operations. This role involves overseeing production, fulfillment, and team leadership while ensuring operational performance and vendor partnerships are managed effectively.

Responsibilities
Lead all day-to-day operations including production, assembly, warehouse, fulfillment, and logistics
Translate sales forecasts and seasonal demand into clear production and staffing plans
Establish, document, and enforce standard operating procedures that improve consistency and reduce fire drills
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across workflows — especially during peak seasons
Ensure on-time, accurate delivery that protects our customer promise and reputation
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operating environment
Lead, coach, and develop operations and warehouse leaders
Set clear expectations and accountability while maintaining strong team morale
Build rhythms that reduce burnout and create predictability
Model calm, professional communication — especially when issues arise
Own operational performance outcomes including margins, labor efficiency, throughput, and vendor costs
Partner with Finance and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Ensure systems, people, and cadence are in place to manage AR, reporting, and cash flow — not personally performing clerical accounting tasks
Use data to surface risks early and support sound decision-making
Work closely with vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and clear timelines
Proactively address vendor risks before they impact customers or margins
Partner with Sales to align operational capacity with customer commitments
Serve as a key operational voice in leadership planning and execution
Act as an execution partner for new initiatives (e.g., installation or leasing services)
Help modernize systems, processes, and workflows to support growth
Reduce reliance on tribal knowledge by building repeatable, documented processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field
5–8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
Background in manufacturing, production, fulfillment, or custom operations environments
Proven success leading teams through seasonal or demand-driven fluctuations
Strong financial and operational acumen with KPI ownership experience
Experience implementing or improving operational systems and processes
Preferred
ERP, MRP, or production planning system experience (Monday.com, Salesforce, Sage Intacct)
