Senior Demand Planner: Skincare & Color Portfolio
Counter is a startup revolutionizing beauty with a purpose, committed to creating the industry standard of 'clean'. As the Senior Demand Planner, you will be responsible for developing SKU-level operational forecasts and facilitating the Sales and Operations Planning process to ensure alignment between commercial ambitions and operational execution.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-fidelity, SKU-level operational forecasts across multiple levels of aggregation, balancing category revenue goals with market volatility
Facilitate the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, driving consensus between Marketing, Finance, and Commercial teams to create a unified "one-number" plan
Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to model the "lift" and effectiveness of promotional concepts, converting customer profiles and door-growth plans into accurate unit demand
Lead demand planning for New Product Launches (NPI) and seasonal collections, managing the complex transition from launch hype to core replenishment
Build predictive forecast models based on industry trends, account door profiles, and historical sell-through data
Generate monthly MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) reports to identify root causes of variance, continuously refining model accuracy
Lead the monthly Excess and Obsolete (E&O) review process, identifying inventory risks early to protect business profitability
Deliver daily order-count forecasts to support capacity planning for Counter Operations and Supply Chain logistics
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4+ years of demand planning experience, preferably within the beauty, CPG, or retail sectors involving complex, seasonal catalogs
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Data Science, or a related field
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and Data Warehouse tools
Strong command of advanced mathematical and statistical forecasting methodologies
Proven ability to lead through influence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Exceptional presentation skills—ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
Experience supporting system upgrades or implementing new demand planning software/processes
