Associate HR Business Partner

The Associate HR Business Partner supports the delivery of People & Culture programs and provides front-line partnership to leaders and team members, assisting with team member relations, performance management, and various HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provides day-to-day People & Culture support to assigned departments, escalating complex issues as appropriate
Assists with team member relations matters, including intake, documentation, investigations, and resolution support
Coaches leaders on basic performance management practices, policy application, and corrective action processes
Serves as an accessible resource for team members regarding policies, procedures, and People & Culture programs
Supports workforce initiatives such as onboarding, engagement activities, training coordination, and retention efforts
Assists with tracking People & Culture metrics and identifying trends related to attendance, turnover, and engagement
Participates in leadership training sessions and People & Culture projects to build consulting capability
Ensures accurate documentation and confidentiality in all team member matters
Maintains visibility within assigned departments and supports flexible scheduling as operational needs require
Champions organizational values and a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
1–3 years of Human Resources or People & Culture experience, preferably with exposure to employee relations
Working knowledge of employment laws and internal policy application (New York State preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust
Demonstrated discretion when handling sensitive information
Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop consultative HR skills in a complex organization
