Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Full Time

Pentagon 2000 Software, Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise software systems tailored for industries such as aerospace and defense. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, nurturing relationships with prospects, and setting appointments for Account Executives to sign contracts.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Research and identify potential customers within the aviation and defense industries
Utilize a mix of inbound and outbound prospecting tactics (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, etc.) to generate sales qualified leads
Qualify leads based on criteria such as business needs, company size, decision-making authority, and budget
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
Engage with prospects to introduce Pentagon2000’s products and services
Conduct preliminary exploratory calls to understand prospects' pain points and business needs
Schedule and coordinate subsequent meetings between qualified leads and Account Executives
Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams:
Work closely with the Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified leads
Provide feedback to the marketing team and to the management team on lead & prospect database quality and customer insights
Assist in the development of the company’s SDR Methodology (sales scripts, outreach strategies, email templates, etc.)
CRM Management & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect interactions and activities in the company’s CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
Track metrics related to outreach efforts, lead generation, appointments set and pipeline conversion
Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for lead generation, meetings set, and opportunities established
Continuous Learning & Development:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and the Pentagon2000 software suite
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to improve skills and knowledge

Required

1-2 years of experience in Sales Development or similar role, preferably in the B2B technology or software industry
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Passionate about connecting with prospects through cold calling, email and social media
Ability to build rapport quickly with prospects and identify their pain points and entice them to discover Pentagon 2000
Highly organized with strong time management skills to achieve success metrics
Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales automation platforms
Self-driven
Structured mind-set
Results-driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think from a customer's point of view (‘customer-centric' mind set)
Team player with a collaborative approach to sales and marketing efforts
A strong desire to grow and advance in a sales management career

Preferred

Experience in the aviation & defense sectors and / or ERP / CRM / MES / MRP space
Mother tongue language English. Other EU languages - advantage
Business / Marketing / Economics graduate - Advantage
Hubspot – advantage
