Interior Design Project Manager

Studio Luddite is seeking a New York based Interior Design Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the new design studio and showroom. This role focuses on managing processes, timelines, and deliverables while working closely with the Founder and internal team to ensure high standards in project execution.

Design

Responsibilities

Manage overall project schedules, timelines, and milestones from design development through construction and installation
Organize and maintain furniture, production, and construction schedules, ensuring alignment across all phases
Work closely with the Founder on design development, providing organizational and logistical support throughout the process
Manage and maintain mood boards and material boards, including acquiring and organizing material samples
Obtain and review vendor quotes for custom upholstery, drapery, lighting, and custom furniture
Coordinate directly with vendors, fabricators, and contractors to confirm pricing, lead times, and production requirements
Review custom FF&E and furniture drawings for accuracy, scope alignment, and coordination with vendors
Track budgets, estimates, and revisions, flagging potential issues related to cost, schedule, or feasibility
Oversee construction, deliveries, and installation, coordinating schedules and resolving issues as they arise
Serve as a key point of contact between the studio, vendors, and project partners
Maintain clear and organized project documentation, including schedules, quotes, drawings, and approvals

Required

Strong understanding of the interior design and construction industry
Proven experience in project management, scheduling, and coordination within a design or architecture studio
Experience obtaining quotes and working directly with vendors, fabricators, and contractors
Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, detail-driven studio environment
Proficiency in project tracking tools, spreadsheets, and documentation systems

Preferred

Experience with custom furniture, upholstery, and made-to-order pieces strongly preferred
