Responsibilities
Develop proprietary control system programs and graphical user interfaces for integrated audio visual systems
Coordinate and support the overall design and installation of these systems
Serve as technical support for faculty and staff
Manage projects or particular project tasks related to programming development and Audio Visual system design
Provide guidance and training to Audio Visual Technicians
Work independently and accomplish advanced audio video systems work in areas such as audio video systems installation and commissioning; trouble-shooting complex system issues; advanced level control systems configuration
Technical live event planning and implementation
Custom multiplex wiring and installation of hardware components including displays (some large), projectors, speakers, microphones, A/V furniture, etc. in addition to the termination and testing of several types of AV technology
Monitor and respond to calls to the Audio Visual Solutions help-desk
Direct the work of student assistants or other lower level staff
Serve as project manager during peak operations periods
Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and sound business judgement as a representative of the department
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of audio visual technical support experience; OR associates and two (2) years of audio visual technical support experience; OR bachelor's degree and some audio visual technical support experience
Must have valid U.S. driver's license
Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies
Preferred
CTS and other industry certifications (Extron, Crestron, Biamp)
