Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end capital markets strategy aligned with growth plans, risk appetite, and unit economics
Design and manage a diversified funding stack, including multi-national warehouse facilities, forward flow agreements, and corporate debt
Balance cost of capital, scalability, and flexibility across market conditions
Develop contingency and recession-ready funding plans
Lead all capital markets transactions from structuring through closing
Partner with internal and external legal, accounting, and advisory teams to ensure efficient execution
Ensure funding structures align with accounting, regulatory, and risk requirements
Build and maintain long-term relationships with banks and asset managers
Lead investor diligence, ongoing reporting, and performance communication
Maintain high credibility through transparency, discipline, and proactive engagement
Manage funding concentration and counterparty risk
Develop and maintain liquidity contingency plans
Partner with Credit and Risk teams to ensure funding structures are resilient to portfolio performance
Present regularly to the Board of Directors and senior leadership
Build, manage, and mentor team of associates
Act as a senior leader influencing company-wide decisions on growth, risk, and strategy
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in capital markets, structured finance, or specialty lending
Proven experience leading funding transactions for a non-bank or fintech lender
Experience leading structured finance transactions, including securitizations, warehouses and/or whole loan sales / forward flow programs
Strong negotiation and execution track record
Experience managing through at least one market downturn or stress period
Excellent communication skills with executives, Boards, and external partners
Hands on leader with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong project management skills, including written and oral communication
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems in an often ambiguous work environment
