Responsibilities
Monitor security events, alerts, and logs from various security systems
Investigate and triage security incidents to determine severity, scope, and impact
Follow established incident response procedures and playbooks to mitigate and resolve incidents in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to security event analysis, actions taken, and resolutions for each event
Other Duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Auburn University undergraduate student in good standing
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred
Strong written and spoken communication skills
Interest in Information Technology and Cybersecurity
Team player and willing to work in a team/group setting
Experience with IT Support, security monitoring, and/or incident detection and response
Knowledge of scripting languages and data analysis tools such as Splunk search processing Language (SPL)
Problem solving mindset that desires to learn new things and excel daily
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow structured processes
Must have the ability to work 15 hours per week
