Responsibilities
Monitor credit card transactions, affiliate traffic, and call center activity to identify fraudulent patterns, anomalies, or abuse
Analyze affiliate- and campaign-level performance to identify sources driving disproportionate fraud, chargebacks, refunds, or fees
Investigate suspected fraud and recommend preventative actions across traffic sources, offers, and payment methods
Partner closely with affiliate managers, marketing operations, and growth teams to remediate high-risk traffic and optimize campaign quality
Identify sub-affiliates, publishers, offers, or funnels associated with elevated fraud or poor downstream performance
Build and maintain fraud monitoring queries, dashboards, alerts, and thresholds using SQL and Excel (and BI tools where applicable)
Work with payment processors and fraud tools to tune rules and controls while minimizing false positives
Produce regular reporting for the SVP of Growth on fraud trends, financial impact, and mitigation effectiveness
Recommend tools, process improvements, and policy changes to reduce fraud-related losses and operational friction
Stay current on emerging affiliate fraud tactics, marketing abuse patterns, and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (required)
2+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk analytics, payments, marketing analytics, or transaction monitoring
Experience analyzing large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes
Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, affiliate, or growth teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
Preferred
Experience with affiliate marketing, performance marketing, or campaign operations
Experience with affiliate fraud, subscription billing models, or call center–driven transactions
Experience with BI tools or dashboarding platforms
Python experience for analysis or automation
Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to assist with SQL, Python, or analysis workflows
Familiarity with payment processors or fraud tools (e.g., Stripe Radar, Adyen, Sift, Forter)
