Sunsweet Growers Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician to ensure product quality and safety by performing timely collection, preparation, and analysis of product samples. The role involves maintaining quality control records, conducting sanitation inspections, and operating laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for timely collection, preparation and analysis of product samples using established procedures

Ensures product meets standards established for product

Informs supervisor of all deficiencies in product

Maintains written quality control records relating to quality

Reinforce Sunsweet’s Quality, Food Safety and Food Defense requirements and maintain awareness of all food safety and product quality standards, to manufacture a wholesome and safe product for our customers

Checks finished product weights and records results

Checks container weights vs. specifications and records results

Prepares, collects and tests samples of products following batching

Performs daily sanitation inspections for designated areas

Adjust, standardize, calibrate and operate laboratory equipment

Prepares and standardizes reagents and refills containers in the lab

Inspect equipment to be sure sanitation standards are met

Assists in testing and operation of wastewater treatment facility

Performs other duties relating to the overall effort as directed
