Responsibilities
Responsible for review of customer supplied art files, images and designs in Creative Suite software with an emphasis on multiple prepress requirements
Responsible for entering and maintaining QPI spec database and prepress spreadsheet
Ability to work independently and as a team member to ensure your part of overall design is completed on time
Responsible for using FTP website to send/receive large files
Responsible for preapproval of art files
Responsible for producing art proofs for jobs produced at QPI, and sending hard copy or electronic PDF proofs to customers for approval
Responsible for preparing files for print using internal ripping software
Responsible to assist in prototype packages that require artwork
Ability to maintain an 'open mind' when discussing various portions of the overall design project
Ability to modify work schedule based on customer demand
Assist in maintenance and updates to design center project list
Responsible for following and enforcing QPI safety policy and procedures
Responsible for proper placement of native art files onto QPI internal printing layout
Must be an effective communicator when discussing or reviewing customer native art files
Photograph samples for image database (Photoshop)
Qualification
Required
Must have high skill level using Adobe Creative Suite software: Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat PRO, Photoshop, InDesign (listed in order of importance)
Open to learning new software for a variety of print applications
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
The ability to perform math with an emphasis on layout
Must be a self starter and be able to prioritize with little direction
