Responsibilities
Own a platform charter for AI enablement: define and deliver shared knowledge ingestion/inferencing/transformation/governance capabilities used by multiple teams to make enterprise data and knowledge AI-ready (not just a single pipeline)
Deliver AI-ready knowledge products for priority domains (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, E-commerce): product catalog, inventory/availability, lead times/ETAs, order lifecycle, supplier and manufacturing events—with clear schemas, contracts, SLAs, and versioning
Establish and enforce engineering standards across teams: contracts, schema/versioning, pipeline SDLC, testing strategy, release practices, documentation, and quality gates
Build knowledge systems for agent grounding: curate structured + unstructured data, implement indexing workflows, define freshness strategies, and create evaluation methods for retrieval quality
Enable AI/ML workloads with an opinionated architecture for batch and low-latency /real time use cases
Run reliability at org level: define SLOs/SLAs, establish an on-call and incident process, instrument platform health metrics, and drive post-incident improvements
Own roadmap and budget: prioritize across competing needs, manage cloud spend, and deliver outcomes against quarterly milestones
Lead and scale the organization: hire, mentor, and develop a team, set the technical bar, and create a high-ownership culture
Drive enterprise alignment across domains and stakeholders: partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Merchandising, and E-commerce leadership to define success metrics and drive adoption; collaborate with Security/Privacy and Governance teams to meet compliance requirements
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on experience building and operating AI knowledge platforms that enable AI/ML at enterprise scale, with strong architecture and delivery expertise
Proven leadership building and scaling engineering teams: led 10+ engineers (ideally 20+ with multiple managers), setting a high technical bar and strong execution culture
Demonstrated experience delivering domain-critical AI knowledge products—especially in supply chain, manufacturing/ERP, e-commerce, consumer/customer experience, sales enablement, and product catalog/PIM—with clear SLAs, documentation, and adoption
Track record defining and enforcing standards across teams: data contracts, schema/versioning, SLAs/SLOs, SDLC for pipelines, testing, release management, and operational playbooks
Accountable for platform reliability at org level: on-call ownership, incident management, observability, SLOs/error budgets, and continuous improvement
Built or standardized modern real time AI knowledge architectures
Strong cross-functional and executive communication skills—able to translate technical strategy into business outcomes across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Merchandising/Catalog, E-commerce, Consumer, and Sales stakeholders
Collaborates tightly with AI Platform teams to integrate knowledge assets into agent tools and production workflows (grounding, retrieval, evaluation, monitoring), ensuring AI systems are safe, fresh, and reliable in production
