Responsibilities
Prepare weekly job progress reports, field verifying physical installation of materials and associated man-hours. (Requires comfort level with heights)
Assist in preparation of progress payment requests (invoices) for submittal to customer
Write correspondence as directed by the Project Manager which may be pertinent to the project
Maintain organized inventory files for material, equipment and tools
Evaluate the completion status of the job and use this information to anticipate and eliminate production or scheduling problems
Submit Daily Time Sheets to customer
Update project schedules to keep both the project team and customer informed of progress
Working knowledge of blueprints and project specifications
Perform material takeoffs and expedite materials
Current knowledge of construction safety and QA/QC
Obtain written work releases from customer and update release log
Identify, track and document additional work
Work closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager to insure a harmonious team effort
Identify areas of available work and ensure required materials are in inventory
Attend customer meetings as directed
Orientation and training of new hires
Maintain latest revisions of prints
Prepare special reports and complete other projects as directed
Qualification
Required
Accurate, detailed, reliable, persistent, self-motivated, high energy, and quick learner required
Strong ability to retain new knowledge required
Strong ability to read drawings
Ability to perform quantitative take-offs / estimates
Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills (extensive work with spreadsheets)
Strong writing skills
Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera
Experience working in construction

Preferred
Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management or similar preferred
