Pratt & Whitney is a leader in the aerospace industry, focused on transforming the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing innovative engines. The Daro Lab Tech will provide metallurgical laboratory services, ensuring compliance with procedures and managing the flow of lab testing.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of Quality Engineer / Quality Manager, person in this position provides metallurgical laboratory services to meet the needs of the lab

Ensures to follow provided instructions for sample preparation, analysis, metallurgical testing and reporting

Uses metal slicing saw machines, ovens, sample mounting, metal polishers, use of microscopes, etc

Reads procedures, blueprints, sample layouts and prepares reports as needed

Manages smooth flow of the lab testing

Assists Lab Technicians

Ensures company policies and procedures are complied with and understood

Maintains a clean and organized workplace

This shift is 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Friday/Saturday/Sunday

HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
