Responsibilities

Partnering with engineers and project managers to analyze requirement documents and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Preparing material, labor, and cost estimates for the project
Executing turnover meetings with Project Managers
Maintaining project records which are consistent with company standards including colored prints, proposal details, and takeoff records
Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
Compiling and recording actual costs
Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis utilizing MIKE Estimation Software
Managing bids from vendors and contractors
Participating in weekly sales meeting
Maintaining up to date vendor pricing
Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors, customers, and contractors

Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems
Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
Manage single or multiple projects simultaneously
Establish critical project objectives
Bachelor's Degree in construction management or construction related field
Extensive knowledge of project estimating procedures
Travel to project sites, or other APi Inc company locations as needed
Primarily a stationary position for a considerable portion of the day (sitting and/or standing). The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in plant environment
PPE required when in the plant, yard or construction areas include: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses / Goggles, Steel-toed Boots, High Visibility Vest, Hearing Protection (designated areas), Gloves
