Responsibilities
Drive the full product lifecycle from early engagements on product architecture and feature definition to program execution via prototype and high volume build and validation cycles
Lead multi-functional engineering team discussions to scope design, set timelines, and ensure timely completion
Understand the complexities of system integration and collaborate with teams to facilitate feedback through the internal design review process
Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds, leading a cross-functional team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers
Set and communicate clear objectives for the build schedule, serving as the primary point of contact for the program with Contract Manufacturer (CM) partners
Maintain good communication and provide multiple levels of status to individual contributors and executive management
Qualification
Required
Strong technical background in ME, EE or related fields
5-8+ years of program management experience from early concept phases through production, with exposure to hardware, software, test and infrastructure across both development and manufacturing phases
Understanding of consumer electronics system architecture in consumer electronics product development
Experience shipping high volume products including experience in working with CM partners
Detailed knowledge of product development cycles & strong understanding of manufacturing processes
Self motivated and proactive problem solver with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills
Preferred
Exposure and interest in mechatronics and Robotics
Highly disciplined in workflow, process, and staying organized on priority tasks
Superior attention to detail with a strong commitment to rigor and excellence
Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
Ability to travel internationally to support builds
