Responsibilities

Migrate APIs to .NET 8: Convert controllers/filters/handlers to ASP.NET Core
Package & API upgrades: Replace legacy dependencies, modernize, address breaking changes and security issues
Parity & validation: Implement automated contract/golden tests, schema/response parity checks, and backward-compatibility safeguards
Quality & performance: Add/upgrade unit/integration tests, tune hot paths, and run load/regression tests to meet agreed budgets
Operational readiness: Ensure health checks, readiness/startup behavior, structured logging and metrics are in place for Choreo
Collaboration & docs: Work closely with platform/Choreo SMEs; document changes and create concise runbooks

Qualification

Required

7+ years C#/.NET with production REST APIs
Proven .NET Framework → .NET 6+ migrations, including dependency/hosting changes and behavioral parity
Strong ASP.NET Web API and ASP.NET Core internals (middleware, routing, filters, model binding, configuration)
Experience with Entity Framework (EF Core)
Test-driven mindset: unit/integration, contract tests, and diagnostics-driven debugging
Git workflow proficiency; CI/CD experience
Comfortable reading legacy code and incrementally refactoring without breaking behavior
BS in Com Sci or related focus. (Must have bachelor degree)
Must be able to work onsite 3x a week
Final interview will be onsite
Must be USC/GC Holder due to client security requirements
