Northrop Grumman is a leading aerospace and defense company that seeks a motivated AVSI Flight Systems Engineering Section Manager to lead a systems engineering team. The role involves managing a group of engineers while overseeing functional and technical program work to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Provide people leadership for a Systems Engineering organization, to include performance management (including performance reviews), career development, staffing, and merit planning as part of the Strategic Deterrent Systems business unit Functional Homeroom
Support employee development; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute programs
Provide ownership of and direction of processes used in the functional group
Support staffing and workload forecast; Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, and performance management
Support the Department Manager in requested tasking
Dependent on program needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years of related experience, or 6 years of related experience with a Master's degree in STEM
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Minimum 3 years of direct Systems Engineering experience (requirements, integration, architecture, and/or verification)
Existing technical scope of work within Systems Engineering on the Sentinel Program
Preferred
Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Minimum 1 year experience leading engineering project or driving performance against schedule
Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle and philosophy
3+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacity
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical design principles
Knowledge of requirements derivation and verification processes
Knowledge of modeling, simulation, and analysis processes
Knowledge of systems integration methods and documentation
Knowledge of systems architecture theory and models
Experience with Cameo
Experience with DOORs
3 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System
Experience using Siemens NX CAD Tool
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
Active Sentinel Program SAP
