Responsibilities
Defend asbestos and toxic tort litigation from inception through resolution
Manage cases independently with appropriate partner support
Handle motion practice, depositions, and court appearances
Work closely with experienced trial lawyers on high-stakes matters
Engage with expert witnesses and sophisticated defense strategies
Balance a demanding caseload while maintaining high advocacy standards
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of litigation experience
Prior asbestos defense or toxic tort experience, or a strong interest in the space
Active Illinois bar license
Strong courtroom presence and confidence presenting arguments
Ability to manage matters independently without heavy oversight
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
High level of professionalism and commitment to client service
Preferred
Multi-jurisdictional litigation exposure (West Coast and/or NY/NJ experience a plus)
Experience handling high-volume caseloads
Resilience, adaptability, and comfort in a fast-moving litigation environment
