Florida Atlantic University is seeking an FAU Undergraduate Student for the position of Student Assistant for Development. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a student to gain firsthand office experience while offering support to the College of Education Development team through various administrative tasks and donor cultivation processes.

Responsibilities

Working collaboratively with the Director of Development and Development Associate on the implementation of a robust development strategy
Participating in the donor cultivation process from research to gift, including coordination of strategy meetings, basic donor research, visit planning, donor acknowledgment, documentation and follow-up
Working as part of a team in a professional office setting
Operating and utilizing computers and multi-function copier
Work closely with the Development Associate to prepare for, attend and represent the College at various student and alumni events
Handling and maintaining confidential information
Performs other job-related duties assigned

Required

Florida Atlantic University degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA
Possess at least a sophomore status at Florida Atlantic (26+ completed credit hours)
Must be reliable and able to manage time to work on multiple projects
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs

Preferred

An interest in philanthropy/ non-profit management
Possess a curious mind and a passion for learning
Demonstrate a strong donor service attitude
Maintain a high level of integrity and accountability
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and a self-starter attitude
Creative, out-of-box thinking
Experience creating graphics using Microsoft Publisher, Canva, or a similar program is a plus
