Dresser Utility Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to assist in daily physical operations that help ensure the functionality of the company. The intern will gain a broad understanding of the modern manufacturing industry and the unique ways the supply chain operates.

Responsibilities

Collect requirements from Supply Chain, Logistics and Site Operations to develop supply chain & logistics containment forecasting models and reports

Analyze purchasing-related information including material purchases, receipts, cost, purchase price variance, and supplier performance

Understand how supply chain metrics relate to each other and the overall goals of the business unit

Evaluate large volume of supply/logistics raw data which is scattered across multiple files and gathers relevant information to assess savings opportunities

Develop reporting packages focused on business needs and that improve supply chain performance

Develop presentations to support supply chain programs

Develop and maintain key performance metrics and benchmark reports relating to supply chain performance

Works with Measurement Supply Chain team at all levels of management supporting Supply Chain Systems development, data gathering and analysis

Required

Undergraduate student who is working toward a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or business related field

Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2

Excellent computer skills and a technical aptitude that includes strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting for the Supply Chain organization

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and management (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, PowerPoint, SQL, Power BI, AI)

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
