Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret labor contract to ensure payroll practices align with union agreements
Act as liaison between Legal, HR, and Union Reporting team
Partner with HRT to identify reporting needs
Stay abreast of changes in union regulations and advise on potential impact to payroll processing
Look for gaps for process improvements
Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee information
Conduct in-depth analysis of payroll data to identify trends, anomalies, ad opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Respond to union inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner
Qualification
Required
3-5 years related work experience
Proficiency with account software and Excel for payroll reconciliations and calculations
Good understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to analyze payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy
Time management skills and multitasking abilities required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Certification in Payroll (i.e., CPP, FPC) preferred
