They are seeking a diligent Underwriter Assistant to support the growth of various insurance portfolios while ensuring compliance and accuracy in policy processing and documentation.

Responsibilities

Handle the processing of policies, including data entry, policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements

Prepare, review and organize documents, contracts, and reports related to policy and claims ensuring completeness and accuracy

Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, claims adjusters, and other departments to facilitate the exchange of information and ensure coordinated efforts

To work within a plan of key performance indicators and meet headline targets of service for facultative reinsurance brokers in Miami, as well as in Latin America. This will mainly focus on Fine Arts, Product Recall, Kidnap and Ransom, and Terrorism products

Assist with the set-up of new classes of business as the opportunities arise

Maintain and develop existing relationships with regional brokers and contacts

Maintain and exceed all Service Level Agreements as directed

To maintain compliance with the adopted rules, working procedures and other forms of best practice

Maintain excellent service standards

Work on other projects, as assigned

Required

1-3 years of experience in a corporate setting; preferably in a critically thinking support role; (re)insurance experience is ideal

Must be proficient in Spanish and English, Portuguese would be a plus

High levels of organization skills

Strong organizational, numerical and analytical skills

Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers, including brokers

High levels of integrity, courage and desire to go the extra mile in the pursuit of team success

Be able to adhere to the appropriate regulatory requirements

Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet applications
