Responsibilities
Monitors the routine maintenance of HCTRA ITS assets and conducts fiber optic inspections relating to ITS maintenance, repair, and construction
Coordinates with different contractors making sure they are adhering to HCTRA fiber optic specs and standards
Oversees and inspects the repair or new installation of ITS components and reviews and analyzes fiber testing results
Assists Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) group with troubleshooting issues that may arise within the fiber optic network
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
A valid Texas driver's license and good driving record
Four (4) years' fiber-related field experience
Good communication skills
Ability to provide a consistent and on-time work product
Ability to interact and provide direction to contractors
Ability to read and understand design plans
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, an/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
