Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day service department operations
Manage, schedule, mentor, and support service technicians
Troubleshoot, help diagnose, handle high-stress situations (aka put out fires!)
Prioritize, assign, and track work orders from intake to completion
Provide customers with estimates, process into work orders and invoices
Ensure quality repairs, safety standards, and efficient turnaround times
Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs, timelines, and expectations
Maintain shop organization, productivity, and professional standards
Track labor hours, efficiency, and service performance metrics
Coordinate closely with parts and sales departments to support operations
Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reporting
Use computer systems and QuickBooks for service documentation and billing
Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Service management or lead technician experience w/ customer interaction
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Organized, dependable, and solutions-focused
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable using computer systems for service records and reporting
Hands-on mindset with a strong work ethic
Ability to work Saturdays on rotation (Spring - Fall)
Preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge of tractors, zero-turn mowers, construction equipment, & implements
Open to using modern tools to improve scheduling, documentation, and communication
