Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end data platform, including batch and streaming pipelines from APIs, product data, web sources, and business systems
Design and maintain core analytical models that power company-wide metrics and reporting
Build and manage orchestration, transformations, testing, and CI workflows
Establish data quality standards, SLAs, monitoring, and observability practices
Optimize cloud data warehouses and transactional databases for performance and cost
Deliver a clear metrics and semantic layer used by product, analytics, and leadership
Partner closely with Product, Customer, and Growth teams on measurement and tracking
Evaluate and integrate modern data tooling and vendors
Hire, mentor, and lead a small team of data engineers

Qualification

Required

5+ years of data engineering experience, including project or technical leadership
Advanced SQL and Python experience in production environments
Strong hands-on experience with dbt and Airflow or Prefect
Deep knowledge of dimensional and event-based data modeling
Experience with Snowflake or BigQuery and Postgres
Proven background building analytics-ready data products
Cloud experience (AWS or GCP); Terraform or IaC exposure preferred
Startup or early-stage company experience strongly preferred
Technical degree preferred
Background supporting SaaS, payments, or high-volume transactional data is a plus
