City Attorney Internship Program.
The City of Charlotte is seeking motivated law students for its Summer 2026 Internship Program within the City Attorney’s Office. Interns will work closely with municipal attorneys, gaining critical experience through legal research, case preparation, and participation in various projects and meetings.

Responsibilities
Performing legal research
Assisting in the preparation of cases for hearing/trial
Preparing reports and memoranda of law
Attending meetings with City officials
Participating in social functions hosted by the City Attorney’s Office
Qualification
Required
Must be a rising 3L law student at an accredited law school during the 2026-2027 school year
Available to work full time (40-hour week) beginning May 2026 through August 2026
Must submit a complete application including Resume, Cover Letter, Writing Sample (must be your original work), and Most recent law school transcript
