Sr. Network Engineer – M&A Strategy & Integration

Responsibilities
Lead the network integration lifecycle from initial due diligence and strategic assessment through final operational transition for all acquired organizations
Define the long-term network integration strategy and create high-level migration roadmaps to align acquired environments with Iron Mountain’s global standards
Oversee all network discovery and assessment efforts, translating technical findings into clear business risks, opportunities, and executive recommendations
Ensure program-wide compliance with all security, regulatory, and data privacy standards throughout the integration process
Act as the primary network liaison to Risk, Compliance, Security, and Legal teams to proactively identify and mitigate infrastructural gaps
Manage the execution of complex network migration plans, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery in partnership with the Program Management Office (PMO)
Provide strategic direction for the implementation of core enterprise network technologies, focusing on standardized, scalable solutions across Data Centers, Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), and Field Offices
Champion the transition to automated and standardized processes for deployment and management, driving operational efficiency for the go-forward environment
Track, monitor, and report key integration metrics, progress, and critical risks directly to IT leadership and M&A steering committees
Mentor and provide technical and professional guidance to a team of network engineers and administrators supporting M&A projects
Cultivate strong working relationships with global IT sub-functions, external vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners during major project rollouts
Drive the creation and adoption of M&A playbooks, standards, and documentation to institutionalize the integration process
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise-level networking, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior program management role focused on M&A integration or large-scale transformation
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic decisions for complex network architectures, including technologies like SD-WAN, next-generation security, and multi-cloud networking
Exceptional track record of stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and executive-level reporting across global teams
Strong understanding of network governance, asset management, and capacity planning
Proficiency in leveraging automation and scripting concepts (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to define enterprise standards and streamline deployments
Exposure to or understanding of key regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) in the context of IT integration
Experience managing third-party vendors and external consultants
Preferred
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or advanced technical certifications like CCNP/CCIE) are a plus
