Hyundai Mobis North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier under Hyundai Motor Group. The Broadcast Engineering Manager will manage the design and maintenance of broadcast technology, lead a team of software engineers, and ensure compliance with headquarters in Korea while researching new technologies to improve broadcast capabilities.

Responsibilities

Manage the design, Requirements, Software build, maintenance and fixing bugs, improvements of broadcast technology, and oversee complex engineering projects from concept to production

Lead, train, motivate, and direct a team of software engineers. Manage performance, delegate tasks, and maintain a collaborative work environment

Act as a subject-matter expert to diagnose and resolve complex engineering and HD, SXM and Broadcast software- related issues

Ensure all operations and content comply with our head quarter in Korea, as well as maintaining a good relationship with the team in Korea

Manage department budgets, control expenses

Research and evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades to improve efficiency, quality, and future growth of broadcast capabilities

Required

Extensive knowledge of broadcast, HD and SiriusXM Radio software including certification process for SXM and HD

Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and training is typically required

A minimum of 8 years of experience in management and software automotive environment

Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials

Be a team player

Have great attention to detail

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Be reliable (with reliable mode of transportation)
