Responsibilities
Develop system model of RF/analog design, radio chain modeling, integrated radio interaction models, dynamic behavior models and assess associate impairments
Evaluate radio performance on various application scenario, as well as working on architecting various calibration and correction methods for radio impairments
Collaborate with HW digital designers and architects, products, Radio, analog designers, and SW engineers, to define and specify the wireless systems
Work with digital designers to realize different physical and/or radio compensation algorithms, and with firmware designers to realize different physical/radio compensation algorithms with high efficiency software implementation
Bring up, test, characterize and optimize real silicon in lab to the production qualities
Qualification
Required
BS with 10 years of relevant experience required
Understanding of RF and analog components/modules composited of wireless communication systems, the possible impairments from those components, and the corresponding calibration and impairment reduction methods/algorithms is essential
Consistent track record of RF calibration algorithm for RF impairments
Experience with MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation
Hands-on experience on lab testing & characterization, such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, signal analyzer, power meter
Preferred
MSEE/PhD with relevant experience
Understanding of communication theory, information theory, & signal processing related algorithms design
Analytical capability to develop the best-in-class solution in terms of performance, power and area for the meaningful issues of physical layer design
Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols: Cellular technologies (5G-NR/LTE/WCDMA/GSM), WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be and ad/ay) or Bluetooth/BLE
Circuit design experience or knowledge
