Bridge Engineering Assistant 1/2/3 Flex (PCN 250201)
NEOGOV is seeking a Bridge Engineering Assistant to support the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities in Alaska. Responsibilities

Performing structural analysis, calculations, and preparing detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports
Creating structural details, calculating quantities, and drafting specifications for construction contracts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering, architecture or land surveying from a postsecondary institution accredited by ABET
A bachelor's degree with a major in engineering, architecture or land surveying from a postsecondary institution not accredited by ABET
An Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Land Surveyor-In-Training (LSIT) certificate issued by a state or the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors; or verification of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) examination
Five years of progressively responsible subprofessional engineering experience of which two years was as a Journey level Engineering Technician or Drafting Technician 3 with the State of Alaska, or the equivalent elsewhere
A valid driver's license is required for this position
Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods related to the design and analysis of complex structures using a variety of materials
Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations
Writes in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience
Preferred
Engineer-in-Training (Fundamentals of Engineering) Certification is preferred but not essential
