Configuration Management Systems Engineer (Entry Level)
Battelle is a research and development organization that delivers critical services for various clients. They are seeking a Configuration Management Systems Engineer to support the evaluation and testing of security systems for the Department of Homeland Security.

Responsibilities
Evaluating the holistic system and how changes would affect system operations and/or performance
Review of vendor Qualification Data Packages (QDP’s) and/or all applicable system design documentation
Lead role to facilitate functional decomposition and the establishment of the developmental system architecture and initial configuration baselines, performing configuration audits, change management, and so forth for systems entering test
Perform systems engineering critical functions analysis and gap analysis to ensure proposed configuration items (CIs) align correctly with the technical requirements for the technology or system under test
Support configuration control board process
Serve as the point of contract for technology vendors regarding management of system engineering and configuration
Qualification
Required
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience performing system engineering functions analysis and gap analysis on hardware systems
Sole U.S. Citizenship is required
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain TSA Suitability
Candidates must have a strong background in understanding of hardware and software system design documentation – such as system-level block diagrams, relationship between system/sub-system, assembly/sub-assembly, UML/SYSML flow diagrams, engineering drawings (hardware), software release notes, etc
Candidate must also be a strong communicator with the capability to interact with a multi-faceted team, including federal clients and vendors
Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills and be capable of working multiple tasks in parallel under tight deadlines
Candidates should have excellent computer skills including applicable Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
Preferred
At least 5 years of applicable work experience
Experience reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP) and Qualification Data Packages (QDP)
